Our well established Oil and Gas client is seeking a Tailings Process Engineer in Calgary, AB.

Job Overview:

Are you interested in using your expert technical knowledge and interpersonal skills to represent Tailings process engineering group and support early design development of Tailings Projects? In this dynamic new role you will work with the Projects and Integrated team to design, commission and bring new coarse and fines tailings assets online and turnover to sustained operations. 

This is a Calgary based role. Expected duration of contract is early Jan to June 2022 with possible extension based on project needs / other work in the portfolio. 

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Prefer greater than 6 years of experience in Tailings, Slurry Design / Operation. 
  • Less experience will be considered based on background
  • Ability to work in an outdoor / site based work environment;  if required
  • Strong proficiency in working independently with good verbal 
  • Written communication skills, resilience, customer service attitude and interpersonal relations

Preference for:

  • Previous experience in commissioning and start-up of tailings systems
  • Individuals with experience in both Tailings project design and operating / commissioning environment and Slurry Hydraulic modelling.
  • Proven proficiency in plant trending / data analysis tools

Experience and Education:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical/Process or Mineral Processing Engineering

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of slurry hydraulics and controls
