Our client is looking for a passionate Executive Director in Lloydminster for a full-time permanent role.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Are you a seasoned professional with experience in leading and directing a team to successfully manage a not-for-profit organization? Are you an experienced manager with the ability to engage your team to rally behind the vision and mission of an organization? Do you have a firm understanding of Indigenous communities' (First Nations, Métis and Inuit) issues, values, and traditions? If so, then our client wants to hear from you.

This exciting, senior position is responsible for ensuring the human resources requirements are completed, organizational policy is followed, and projects are managed all while achieving the objectives the board has set. Our successful candidate will have the ability to build relationships through positive communications with key stakeholders, community members and staff. This position requires someone who is organized, well-written, and detail orientated coupled with a good understanding of financials and reporting requirements.

Our Successful Candidate will have:

  • Degree or Diploma in Business, Arts, or Social Work.
  • 2-3 years of experience in delivering a program for children, youth, and families
  • A minimum experience of 2 years in organizational management including human resources, financial management, contract management, strategic planning, and standards compliance.
  • Working in collaboration with partner organizations.
  • You are familiar with and understand the requirements of a not-for-profit including governance, Boards, and Bylaws.
  • Excellent interpersonal and management skills including demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff
  • Demonstrated familiarity with local community resources.
  • Networking with organizations.
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle with clean driver's abstract.
  • A strong understanding and awareness of Indigenous culture (First Nations, Inuit, and Métis) is essential to being successful in this role.
  • If you have experience working in or with the Indigenous community, we’d love to hear about it in your cover letter, as this is a MUST for the role.
  • You are confident in using Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Oh yeah, of course, you must also be legally able to work in Canada and able to pass a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerability Sector check.
