Our well established Oil and Gas client is seeking an experienced and driven Process/Production Advisor to support our Project Operations Division in Fort McMurray, AB.

Please note that this position is located in Fort McMurray, AB and local candidates are preferred. Non-local candidates will be considered but must be willing to secure their own accommodations, as there is no camp, LOA, or accommodation allowance provided.

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Process lead on capital projects and represent business team on numerous projects 
  • Liaison between project team and the business team (s)
  • Complete deliverables for all stages of a project 
  • Review engineering documents, attend design reviews and provide feedback on operability and maintainability of design
  • Participate in model reviews, squad checks and safety related workshops and reviews
  • Ensure deliverables are completed on time for required check points and gates and provide schedules for all activities
  • Steward to deliverable on a monthly basis 
  • Develop Service Level Agreements with each business team/stakeholder
  • Support Construction in the development of the Systems Completion Plan and endorse the final plan
  • Perform owner field checks on construction compliance to engineering packages, applicable specifications, and standards 
  • Other roles as required


Experience and Education:

  • Highschool or GED required
  • Technical diploma or Valid 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate (ABSA) 
  • Minimum of  5-10 years of relevant experience required 
  • Previous field experience considered an asset 
  • Previous leadership experience considered an asset 
  • CSO Common Safety Orientation (or equivalent) (or must obtain prior to start)
  • If this position is classified as safety risk sensitive, you must also be able to pass pre-access drug & alcohol testing.
  • Successfully pass a criminal background check.
  • Authorized to legally work in Canada (eligible to work in the country for the duration of the assignment.

Skill and Abilities:

  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in MS Office Suite Programs
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 

Training Requirements: 

  • Fall Protection
  • Confined and Restricted Space Entry (OSSA)
